Your documents stay on your device.

Sheafly does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. There are no accounts, metrics, tracking, analytics, advertising, or cloud processing. The app has no network access.

Document processing

All PDF and image processing happens locally on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. This includes on-device text recognition for scanned pages. Sheafly uses the documents you choose and never modifies the originals.

Files, drafts, and sessions

On iPhone and iPad, merged PDFs and in-progress drafts remain in Sheafly’s on-device library until you remove them. The same files are available in Sheafly’s folder in the Files app.

On Mac, Sheafly keeps working copies in its private app container while you work. Saved .sheafly sessions contain the documents and settings needed to reopen that session, and document sessions can save themselves as you work.

If you share, export, or move a PDF or .sheafly session through another app or storage provider, that action is handled by the destination you choose. Sheafly itself does not upload or sync files.

Passwords

Passwords used to unlock a source PDF or protect a finished PDF are held only in memory for that operation. They are never saved to disk and never leave your device.
